This weeks highlights 11-20-2011

Grant and Rachel excited they got new Christmas piano books this week.

My latest cake pops - penguins and molars.

Flapping Pages had a book club meeting and here they are discussing the book with Grandma Recker on the cell phone since she read the book too we thought she should be part of the discussion.

Weber had a mini dance marathon on Friday night.

Greg and I got to get away to Des Moines to see WICKED.

Grant and Rachel cleaning up Albert's playpen in the basement.

Rachel and Kathleen hanging out at Nolte between dances playing games on my iTouch.

Week ending 11-13-2011

Here is the reason that the blog was delayed last week - Grant had a little football injury at school that they thought might need stitches - but a butterfly band-aid worked just fine.

We had our first snow this week - BUT as you can tell - it didn't stick around.

The school nurse Aimee checking on Grant's injury. She was GREAT. So happy the school nurse was at school the day of his big injury. Thanks Aimee.

Jacob started swimming this week. Here he is jumping off the platform at practice.

YES - I still have my helpers in the morning. Here they are trying to warm up breakfast and get them on the trays before the kids start coming in.

If you look really close you can see my blood on Grant's shirt. Why do you have to sew ALL patches on Boy Scout uniforms but Girl Scouts just have you iron them on. Go figure. Here is Grant showing off his shirt before his meeting this week.

No school on Friday meant tailgating at Sonic for lunch with my boys.

Grant got to hang out with Tim Dwight at Scheel's this week.

I had a surprise visitor come to just get a Penny's Pop. Thanks for stopping by Mike it was great seeing you - maybe next time Kris can come with you.

Time for chocolate chip pancakes before the last Hawkeye home football game. Pretty proud of my football.

Even Grant McNutt thought it was pretty cool.

I did my mom duty and took Jacob out driving on Saturday. I even took him on I-80. OH YES I did and I am still here to talk about it. He did a great job.

The cake pops I attempted this weekend.

Abbie at volleyball try-outs. She did a great job but didn't get on the team. There were only a few 7th graders that went out so not enough to make a 7th grade team. There is always next year.

Highlights of the week ending 11-6-2011

Uncle Bob came to pass out candy for the trick or treaters so he also had to try out my new scooter too.

Time to take Rachel and Grant Trick-or-Treating.

The BESTEST picture of the week. Sloppy Penny Jo with 2 of her favorite Fareway Guys.

A fun Halloween display we found on our evening.

Look at that loot they got. Gotta love the nice rows that Grant made.

Abbie had a 7th grade band concert this week.

I was the Team 1 Team Time this week. I got to tell them all about my life.

Mrs. Miller and Mr. Knoer said I did a "Super Star" performance on my Team Time.

All of my Brownies working hard on their assignment to learn about People of the World.

All of my favorite Brownies.

Abbie had a few friends over before the Jr. High Dance.

All of the girls already for the dance - hair and make-up all done.

Me hanging out with the Jr. High principal to see if Dance Dance Revolution was ready for the dance. YES - he won but at least I tried - right?

All of the Weber Mom's checking out who is dancing with who during the slow dance.

Girl time in the kitchen with Susan. See the next entry of our whole weekend with Uncle Joel and Susan - many more pictures.

Weekend fun with Uncle Joel and Susan

Finally Susan got her scooter ride with me. We had a great zipping around the hood.

Joel is in the house 30 minutes and he was already working on his "To Do List".

Jacob and Uncle Joel putting up the Christmas lights.

The girls shopping for Abbie to get a new winter coat.

Time for the girls to start baking with Susan in the kitchen. They made 3 different things.

Susan and the girls making the filling for their cream puffs.

Time for the boys to take an old TV to the dump. I think they even got a tour too.
